Many organizations are reworking the global TA operating model amid changes in technology and the workforce. Leaders are redefining what sits within TA, increasingly merging L&D, Talent Management, and Internal Mobility under unified talent strategies and expanded Head of Talent roles. At the same time, technology is reshaping the skills and structures required for the work of TA itself, forcing a reassessment of how the function is designed and staffed.
In parallel, companies are rethinking how they identify and select the future workforce. This includes deeper partnership with the business to define critical skills, balance AI agents with human talent, and leverage tools like AI heatmapping to assess role-level exposure and inform workforce planning decisions.
